To understand biotic and aboitic factors ,we first need to understand the definition of an ecosystem.An ecosystem is an are where living and non-living things live. Few of the examples of ecosystem are river,pond,desert etc.Biotic factors are the living things of an ecosystem like animals,microorganisms and the plants.Abiotic factors of an ecosystem are non living parts of it like water,soil and air etc.So the difference between biotic and abiotic factors is living and non living nature of these.
