We have day and nights on earth because of the Earth’s rotation on its axis. Axis is an imaginary line passing through North and South poles.The Earth takes 24 hours to complete one rotation. Half the time i.e.for 12 hours one side of the Earth is facing the Sun ,in this side there is Day whereas on the other side there is night.In this science education video , kids can very well understand the reasons of day and night happening.
