Microbes are of 3 types-Bacteria,fungi and viruses.Bacteria exist everywhere,on our body and inside our body too.Bacteria are tiny ,one celled creature.With few exceptions,most of the bacteria are invisible to naked human eye,they can only be seen by using microscope.They were present in the universe even before the existence of humans.One interesting fact is that that there are are about 4 pounds of bacteria living in an adult human body.Bacteria survive on the food taken from their environment.Few of the bacteria are good but some bacteria spread diseases.Bacteria living in our intestines,play an important role in food digestion.But diseases like cavities,pneumonia and ear-infections are caused by bacteria.
